Description
An uncommonly tall background unicorn caught many a Bronie's eye in the latest episode of FiM, and I thought she would be a good subject for a drawing. Learning some lessons from my attempt at Scarecrow AJ, I was much more deliberate with the background elements this time.
For the tones I mixed up, I had a little trouble with Allie's coat and mane. I know her mane and tail should be a more teal shade of blue, but multiple attempts all wound up dominated by green. As I was applying it, I found the blue to fade as it dried, forcing me to go back over the darker portions a second time. Her coat might be a little too bright, but it would be perfect for Fluttershy. In future drawings, I've got to remember to rework the iris/pupil ratio.

Nicely done! All the issues that I see with it are ones you have already brought up. If there was anything else that I noticed, it's that the arch behind her is a little uneven--seems a little like it leans to the right. But that's just my two cents; I don't feel like it really detracts from the piece too much.
