Battle-Ready Freija

The fourth of my sketch requests, this is 's original character, Freija.

In contrast to the Lunaea sketch, this time around I had a bunch of reference material to work with thanks to dernwine's extensive work on his webcomic. This helped me a lot in terms of outfit details and figuring out a design for something to accent her helmet. I spent a lot of time initially on getting the details of her face more concrete, the scowl seemingly appropriate for her character and things like eye shape helping to distinguish her from the previous two ladies I've drawn.

In going back and redrawing her face, though, I think I may have lost some of that angle that the rest of her body is drawn at, making it somewhat inconsistent. At a glance her hands may also seem a bit small; I ought to have made their outline larger because of the armor covering them. Barring those small trip-ups, I think this turned out very well.
